Microsoft Internet Explorer - Clearing password cache
First of all, let us suggest mantaining your web
bowser updated, patches with fixes appear constantly. We noticed many
customers having problems with password caching, this recipe will
tell you how to correct it:
Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, always ask you to autocomplete form
fields; particularly, we are interested in personal passwords fields autocompletion.
If this is the case or the password simply doesn't work, there's
a way to clean the passwords cache, but be aware that this option will delete any password
your browser usually remembers.
How to clear saved passwords? (MS-Internet Explorer)
From the Tools menu select Internet Options
Select the Content tab
In the "Personal information" area, select AutoComplete
Select Clear Forms
Select Clear Passwords
Select OK
Select OK
This procedure also corrects
a password caching bug in out of the box Windows XP's Internet Explorer.
As a security policy, we suggest
not using this passwords's browser feature, because anyone with physical
access to your computer would be able to bid for you.
